Then when? If you're like most people, it's in the evening or on a weekend. How do you check on the amount of that ATM withdrawal that your spouse didn't write down...again? Or find out the amount of that check you wrote in the busy check-out line at the grocery store? Well, if you've signed up for our FREE TeleBaNK service, you can! You can look back on deposits, withdrawals, transfer funds between accounts, or leave a message for a bank representative to contact you. You can also do research on checks by amount or check number all from the comfort of your home, and at your convenience.
Our telebanking service is now up and functioning and is available from any touch-tone phone*. We've dubbed it TeleBaNK, and it can be accessed by dialing 392-8265 (392-TBNK) from within the Danville Mutual Telephone exchange. For those of you who live outside the local calling area, we've also included a toll-free number to access this service. That number is 877-392-8265 (877-392-TBNK), and will be available 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week.
*Our system is only accessible from a touch-tone telephone. Older, rotary dial telephones or "pulse" type push button telephones are not compatable with our telephone banking service.
If you wish to try Tele-BaNK, you can activate it in a couple of ways.
The first is to stop into the bank and fill out an enrollment form. This form will have the necessary information to enable us to set up your account "pool" which will allow you to transfer funds freely between all accounts in the pool. Please do not list Time Deposits (CDs or IRAs) since these are only available by telephone for balance or history inquiries.
The second is to

Danville State Savings Bank
109 N. Main St.
P.O. Box 295
Danville, Iowa 52623-0295
You will be notified via email when your accounts are accessible for transfer using the Tele-BaNK system. Specific questions can be answered or detailed instructions can be emailed to you by contacting customer.service@danvillebank.com.
Whichever way you choose, a temporary PIN will be assigned to you. The first time you call the tele-banking server, you will be required to change this PIN to any four digit number you choose. This must be done for each of the accounts you wish access to, but the same PIN can be used for all accounts, if you wish. This new PIN will be used for all subsequent balance or history inquiries.
We encourage you to use Tele-BaNK , the latest service offered by Danville State Savings Bank.
The telebanking interface will consist of an automated voice teller who will recite a menu to the user. The user will respond to the various prompts by pressing the appropriate keys on their touch-tone telephone. Older style rotary-dial telephones are not compatable with this system.
Functions of the tele-banking service include:
- Checking, Savings, CD, and Loan account inquiries
- Funds transfers between accounts
- Next and last payment amounts
- Payment and payoff amounts
- Maturity dates
- Check Stop Payments (14 day)
- Alerts to NSF and/or ACH items
As with ATM or debit cards, all access will require a password. An initial password will be issued to new users. The first time they use the service, they will be prompted to change their password to any 4 digit sequence of numbers they choose. As always, it's the customer's responsibility to keep the password private. If you have any suspicion that someone may have acquired your password, you are encouraged to change it immediately. The user also needs to keep in mind that security risks increase when performing any monetary transaction with a cordless or cellular telephone.
